It turns out, smiles have the power to do a lot of pretty cool things. We did more research to find 10 fun facts that you didn't know about your smile!

Psychologists have discovered that even if you are in a bad mood, a smile can instantly lift your spirits.

2. Smiling relieves stress.

Smiling activates the release of neuropeptides that work toward fighting off stress and relaxing your body. They can lower your heart rate and blood pressure.


3. Smiling can work a lot of muscles!

The simple act of a grin can use up to 53 facial muscles.

People can recognize smiles from up to 300 feet away, making it easier to identify than any other facial expression.
